Our rotary vane vacuum pump repair service offers a comprehensive service and maintenance program dedicated to oil lubricated rotary vanes. The service is designed to maintain machine performance, reduce oil particulate carryover and ensure increased asset life.

Maintenance intervals also depend on the demands placed on the machine. Each machine will have different maintenance requirements. The applications and environment that the machines operate in will almost affect the required maintenance intervals.

Also the type of technology, oil lubricated and dry running equipment have different maintenance requirements. Regular maintenance work must be carried out in order to ensure safety.

Below is a typical oil lubricated rotary vane vacuum pump maintenance tasks. The expected intervals are based on averaging operating environment and annual usage.

Daily Checks

Check the oil level

Monthly Checks

  • Check the pipes and screws for leaks and ensure their tight fit and if necessary re-seal or re-tighten.
  • Check the terminal box and cable inlet holes for leaks and if necessary re-seal.
  • Clean the ventilation slots on the machine and the motor cooling ribs.
  • Cleaning the oil cooler
  • Depending on how dirty the sucked in medium is
  • Clean the mesh filter in the suction connection Clean the filter cartridge in the gas ballast valve

500 - 2,000 h or One Year

  • The oil change interval is determined by the demand placed on the machine (operating time, operating conditions, etc.).
    Extreme load can reduce the lifetime of oil to up to 500 hours. The quality of oil used can also impact oil consumption.
  • The specified interval of 2,000 h only applies to genuine Elmo Rietschle lubricants that have been approved by our engineers.

Monthly Checks

  • Check the terminal box and cable inlet holes for leaks and if necessary re-seal.
  • Clean the regulating valve, the ventilation slots on the machine and the motor cooling ribs.
  • Check the oil level
